Matthew and Ashley

A Simsbury Inn Wedding in Connecticut

Ashley and Matt, what an honor it was to be apart of your day. Thank you for trusting me with your memories and brining me to Connecticut. It was a wedding I will never forget. The Simsbury Inn was simply perfect!

I hope you love reliving your day through the eyes of my camera! You guys had some very special and lovely moments!

Simsbury Inn Wedding
I have never seen a more chilled relaxed bride! She was just relaxing and watching TV and enjoying her sisters.

The boys did a traditional cheers with mugs full of beer…one gentleman could not chug it down…so one groomsman took one for the USA..I mean the team! 🙂

Guys do selfies too…and they all looked so handsome!

When you blue steel…and it looks more like duck lips! LOL… but they tried and it was so funny.

This is the moment when months and months of planning start becoming a reality and you realize that this is truly your wedding day, when you put on your dress for the final time.

Ashleys dad, during their first look, gave Ashley her mom’s grandmothers rings to wear. She also wore Matt’s grandmothers rings and her dads mothers rings! She was surrounded by all of hers and Mat’s grandmothers on their day!

Mothers and sons…there is a special bond that can never be broken.

Since they started dating they had not gone one day without seeing or talking to each other during the day. They both said not seeing each other was probably the hardest thing they did on their wedding day.

This was the sweetest cutest moment…the wee ones started out fine then got stage fright and stopped half way down and tried to turn around LOL…so they got a little help from the rest of the bridal party.

The moment their eyes met.

You may now kiss your bride! The new Mr. and Mrs. Travis

These two perfected this move at their engagement session.

You guys are so much fun we laughed most of our time together!

Let the party begin!

This was the cutest candy table!

Their father daughter dance started like most do…then this happened! Daddy can DANCE! So much fun!

I love taking my couples back out at night to capture some amazing night photos. It gives them another few minutes alone to reflect on what just happened…because the day goes by so fast, so they get to slow down again even if just for 15 minuets then its back in to dance the night away!

These photos right here are PRICELESS. their aunt is 99 years old and this was a very important photo to them! She is still pretty spry too!

We ended the night with sparklers and a kiss to send them off to the after party! Which was so much fun too!

Ashley and Matt, my wish for you is that you never go a day without saying “I Love You” to each other, that you never go a day without feeling loved and that you always remember this day as the BEST DAY EVER…(yet) because there are many more Best Days coming your way! Love Melody

This blog post would not be complete without giving a shout out to my fellow photographer Shawn Sawyer, who graciously stepped in and took Ashely and Matt’s engagement photos for me because I needed to be with my mom and step dad in SC for his final days. Ashley and Matt were only in town for a long weekend, the very weekend I had to leave suddenly so I reached out to Shawn who adjusted her schedule to help me out and provide them with amazing engagement photos. Would you believe Shawn and I have yet to meet in person, but seeing her work and personality online I knew she was the person I needed to help them have an awesome experience….Shawn I still owe you a drink! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
